about me 

I grew up in Sylvan Lake, Michigan; a tiny neighborhood right outside the city of Pontiac. I attended Grand Valley State University to major in Film and Video Production and obtained my Bachelor’s of Arts in Communications in April 2015. My focus of studies while at college was post production; mainly video editing and motion graphics. I’ve always enjoyed post production because I view it as a puzzle. There’s a bunch of footage and it’s my job to put the pieces together to create a story.

After graduating, I have lived in Chicago and Los Angeles pursuing film work. I’ve worked on various projects gaining valuable experience. During my time in Los Angeles, I was able to be a production assistant to Therapy Studios and HeLo Productions as well as work on a few film sets. Since summer of 2016, I moved back to Michigan and have been eager to expand my creative skill set. I started working on local production sets for films and tv shows as well as being a freelance video editor for KDN Videoworks. In November 2017, I accepted a full time offer to become the Director of Video Acquisition for Video Concepts and moved to Marquette, Michigan to further my career. During my time there, I have truly learned how to run a commercial based company and how to collaborate with clients to make the best content possible while continuing to grow in both videography and editing. With Video Concepts closing in December of 2018, I was thrown quite off guard but landed on my feet quickly as I accepted my next position as Bennett Media Group's Video Producer starting in January 2019. Since then, I have further developed my skills working with video content in a full service marketing company, expanding my knowledge of how the marketing business works alongside creating videos for clients and other companies.

A lot of things influence me when it comes to my creative work. Whether it’s current events happening in my life, tv shows, films, music, video games, or hearing stories from various means, I use these experiences to make the best creative product to my ability. Whenever I start a new project, one of my main goals is for that project to have value, meaning, and an impact. There’s so much content we see on a daily basis now, it’s hard to see what’s truly unique. I hope whatever I make, it sticks out to viewers and will make some type of impact.
